Spring Snow: Oaks at El Capitan

“They had been driven away by the snow blowing below the granite wall. Piles of chopped pine laid on the ground but oaks remained. The distant calling of the rock face was in front of us but who would dare venture up it now? What of those who were already on it. The sun surely would reappear and dry their wet sleeping bags.”
